MakeX Starter is a multitasking competition for young people between 6 to 16 years old. Its theme of 2020 Season is Smart Links. The competition divided into two parts: Automatic Stage and Manual Stage. Contestants can improve logical thinking by graphical programming, learn more collaborative strategy by working with their alliance, develop problem-solving skills through the implementation of electronic parts, mechanical structure and software programming. The mission design of Smart Links focuses on encouraging collaboration and communication between two alliances and thus inspiring contestants to develop good social skills form an early age.

Competition Process
01 Automatic Stage
During the Automatic Control Stage, the robot runs the Automatic Program to complete the score in the following ways:
- Torn down the duel cube which stands in the site;
- Avoid the cylindrical obstacles in the field;
- Move balls from those metal prop to the competition field.
02 Preparation Stage
During the Preparation Stage, the Contestants can move the robot from the Automatic Mission Area to the Manual Mission Area.
03 Manual Control Stage
During the Manual Control Stage, the Contestants-controlled robot scores by collecting balls from the Manual Mission Area into a container which in the center of the Manual Mission Area.
Competition Time
1 min 30 sec (Automatic Control Stage) + 30 sec ( Preparation Stage) + 1 min 30 sec ( Manual Control Stage)
